Deaf Albertan of the Year Award

The Deaf Albertan of the Year Award is presented annually to a Deaf or Hard of Hearing person who during the past four years has contributed the most to the Deaf population. Eligibility shall be based on community service contributions, occupational and employment achievements.

Requirements of the candidate are as follows:
1) Candidate must be a resident of Alberta for more than 4 years.
2) Nominee must have made significant contributions to the Deaf Community for the past four years.
3) Candidate must be at least 25 years of age.
4) Candidate shall be Deaf or Hard of Hearing and involved in the Deaf Community.
5) Candidate must be recognized and recommended by an organization of the Deaf.
